RUNE DICE

In my book Rune Magic I described an original instrument of divination and magic that placed the 24 Germanic runes onto four dice, and gave instructions for its construction. The Rune Magic dice were packaged together with the book Rune Magic and the Rune Magic Cards in the kit The Power of the Runes, but until now have not been available as a separate purchase.

Rune Dice is devoted solely to the use of the Rune Magic dice in fortune telling and practical ritual magic. It consists of the 253 page book Rune Dice Divination plus a set of four rune dice. Numerous techniques of divining with a single cast of the dice are described in the book. Each method may be applied to different areas of inquiry ranging from simple questions to full life readings.

A more involved technique for divining with the dice that uses multiple casts is also described. This is best when a detailed response to a complex subject is required.

Each divination method is accompanied by a complete sample reading. This makes learning the dice easy.

In the text of the book is provided a full background concerning the origins of the runes, complete meanings for all 24 of the Germanic runes that appear on the dice, and a table that shows the names and shapes of all known runes and reveals their relationships.

Divination is only one use of runes. The final portion of the book examines how runes were employed for ritual magic by the Teutonic shamans of Europe around the time of Christ, and describes the construction of potent rune talismans.

The four rune dice packaged with Rune Dice Divination are constructed of polished hardwood. The sides of the dice are deeply impressed with the Germanic runes, which are filled with blood-red coloring. These are the same large, handsome dice that are sold in the Power of the Runes kit.

Rune dice are the most attractive and convenient vehicle for divining with runes that presently exists. No other form of divination is at the same time so simple yet so precise in its responses. Anyone fascinated by runes, or involved in divination either as a recreation or a business, will be amazed by the sheer elegance of the dice, and will be glad they acquired the Rune Dice kit.
