This book is a repackaging of my book Tetragrammaton. It was the opinion of my publisher Llewellyn Worldwide that the work would sell better under a less obscure title. Some of the initial artwork and the cover have been redone, but there is no substantial difference between this book and Tetragrammaton

It was my own opinion that the title Tetragrammaton was distinctive enough that its obscurity to many potential buyers was outweighed by its novelty. However, I was overruled in this matter. I did ask that it be made plain on the front or back cover that the book was not a new book but a repackaging of an older book. Unfortunately this was not done. This fact does appear on the copyright page, but few potential buyers are apt to notice it there.

This troubles me, because I do not like to think that readers might be misled into believing this a different work. It is a common practice in the book industry, however - a way of infusing new life into worthwhile titles that have begun to sell more slowly. And it is a handsome repackaging of the work. I was given the choice of allowing Tetragrammaton to go out of print entirely, or keeping it in print under this new title - I chose to keep the work in print, so that it would continue to be available to readers.
