FLEURETY

(portrait of Fleurety from Le veritable dragon rouge, 1822)

This demon may be derived from the name of Flauros, described in the Goetia as a great duke, who comes first as a leopard, then later as a man with flaming eyes and a terrible countenance. However Fleurety does not appear particularly terrible from his portrait. His symbol, illustrated in the Red Dragon alongside his image, is the hoof of a horse. Fleurety is said in the Red Dragon to be a lieutenant of hell.
